Many of you know that my buddy Sam and I have been building a
hollow body wooden surfboard in our free time, which isn't much,
and our main inspiration comes from these guys down in York, ME.
Mike and Rich from
Grain

have been helping us out a lot, they have a real chill attitude
towards the good life, so check 'em out. You can see their video

Hybrid Hard Drive
May 08, 2006
What? Huh? Who? Me? Right??? Hell Yeah I called it!
"The HHD is the convergence of a flash memory chip and a conventional platter-type magnetic disk drive. To save the time and energy spent spinning a metal disk drive it is designed to use static flash memory when starting a PC." ~The Korea Times
I totally called this one back a month or so ago. This is a product made by Samsung that has a regular hard drive and a flash based hard drive. This makes it capable of 5 second start-ups! This is AWESOME! Vista capable as of next month, probably be Mac capable a few months later, maybe in time for Apple's WWDC in August.

Spore
May 07, 2006
----I
usually don't like video games unless they are either racing games
or games like Tony Hawk, but
Spore
is an exception. This is a wicked cool game where you start out on
a molecular level and you work your way up until you develop an
evolved species.
You can completely design what kind of species you want with
customizable body structures, defense systems, movement styles,
etc. Eventually your species will reproduce and make more of what
you designed, then making villages and cities. This is a crazy game
where you can take over other cities and eventually the whole
world, then you can go into space and take over other worlds, you
can visit worlds made by other people playing the game via the
internet. This game never ends, literally, you can always keep
going and conquering. For a lengthy video showing the game off you
can check out
this video
made by the creator, who also is the creator of Sim City and the
Sims.

Wii
May 03, 2006
----Anyone
who's a serious gamer will know that the Microsoft made
Xbox
360
is the big console among the gamers, and soon the Sony
PS3
will be out, but sooner than the PS3 is the Nintendo
Revolution...
uh Wii will be out, sorry, the stupid name gets me every time. I'm
excited for the Wii, it's going to boast an easy to use controller
and motion sensed gameplay. I am not a gamer at all, hell, I still
use my N64. I don't play the strategy games, just not for me. I
like MarioKart and Tony Hawk, I'll play some one on one 007, but
I'm what you might call a passive gamer.
----Anyways, I'm looking forward to the $149-$199 price point, and the slew of awesome, relaxed games.
