Dock Library
is a really cool application that lets anyone using Leopard to
catalog and change their dock theme easily and
quickly.

You just have to head to over to
LeopardDocks.net
or
Dockulicious.com,
and download any theme you like, then click the import dock button
and select the .zip file then select it and hit set dock. Couldn't
be easier!

Usually I'm pretty disappointed with the OS X notification
system
Growl
styles and I just default to a plain black semi-transparent Growl
style, but then came along
iPhonesque.

These guys have done a great job at creating something that looks
great, not customizable at all, but looks awesome!

I did post a while ago on how to
keep your dock
clean
and in categories using little dock separators. Well now that
Leopard has a new dock those old separators don't really look good
anymore... I've made a new version based on the
“Railroad” divider between the apps and stacks. Check
it out on my

page!

Quicksilver
is a great little app that gives you control over a LOT of features
in your computer just by typing anything you want. For instance you
can use Quicksilver as a launcher, where you would just type
"iTunes" and hit enter and iTunes opens. But say iTunes is already
open, then you're given a new set of options if you hit tab instead
of enter. You can look through playlists, change the volume, or add
the current song to a new playlist. The other great use for
Quicksilver is using it as a spotlight that can also control your
media and search through bookmarks and web history. Look below, I
started typing clutter because I wanted a file inside that folder
and this is what came up:

Next we have a screen shot of an add-on to Quicksilver called
Constellation Menu, it lets you see things much more graphically
for certain applications, such as iTunes, seen
below.

Quicksilver has a plug-in for just about any application you use,
and the repository works much like a Linux distribution system. You
just go into the preferences and check off which plugins you want
to be installed and they automatically download and install, no
hassles. Hopefully Apple will take notice and add some of this
functionality right into spotlight when Leopard arrives... or maybe
later on. They do need to have things to upgrade too, they can't
start with everything.

My wish has come true! A stand alone application to play my
Pandora
streaming radio, and boy is is beautiful and easy to use.
PandoraJam
lets you start a new account or log into your previously created
account and essentially use the online mini Pandora player but
without the use of a browser. This saves system resources and looks
10 times better.

If that doesn't do it for you, PandoraJam also lets you record and
pause the Pandora channels, so you can listen to recorded songs on
your iPod or in iTunes any time!

You are one of three people: you have an Intel-based Mac and
already have font row, you have a PPC (i.e. PowerBook, iBook, iMac
G4) and you have it installed, or you have a PPC Mac, and you don't
have it installed.
Wherever you fall, you probablty don't use Front Row. I know I
don't use it very often, but it's a nice thing to have as a wow
factor, and on occasion it's fun to use. Well, if you fell into the
last category, my newest
Helpful
Hack
tip is a quick and easy way to get front row running on your
machine in 5 minutes and you only need to get to get your hands a
little dirty for this one.
Note:
This hack only works if you have an apple mouse plugged into your
computer.
